Remember that cooky Amelia Bedelia? She’s back and cuter than ever! Herman Parish has taken over as author, and made Amelia Bedelia into a lovable little girl. She still has the same quirks and unmistakable charm as the original Amelia Bedelia.
Reading, Amelia Bedelia’s First Day of School to my three-year-old, I laughed out loud remembering how Amelia always mixes up homophones.
“Are you my teacher?” she asked.
“I am Mrs. O’Malley. I teach gym.”
“Oh,” said Amelia Bedelia. “I am not Jim. I’m Amelia Bedelia.”
